TYPES OF MATERIALS USED IN MAKING PAPER POUCHES

Due to the ever-rising concerns related to the environment and nature, there has been a rise in the usage of paper bags and pouches in the last few years. 

There are different kinds of papers and similar products used in their manufacturing.

1.  Kraft Paper Pouches

  • These pouches are basically made of softwood sulphate
  • The raw material used in these Kraft paper pouches are yellowish-brown, in addition to light brown, cream or white
  • The thickness of all kinds, including brown Kraft paper pouches, is usually between 80g and 120g
  • Kraft paper comes with features such as high tensile force
  • They are single light, double light, stripes, and no grain 
  • Kraft paper is generally used for making packaging paper bags, envelope bags, portfolios, medical records bags, etc.
  • This material can be used as environmentally-friendly portable paper bags, food takeaway paper bags, chestnuts and other dried fruits for supermarkets

2. White Cardboard

  • White cardboard is basically a single or multi-layer combination made from bleached chemical pulp and fully sized
  • The surface of the white cardboard is smooth and the texture is firm
  • This material is used to make high-end exquisite handbags, bags, gift boxes, business cards, etc.

3. Coated Paper

  • This is a robust material and it is generally copper plate base paper and paint. 
  • It is mostly used for cigarette cases, labels, cartons, etc.
  • The surface is smooth and clean and the thickness is 70~250 grams
